Parents/Careers will need to register young people at youth club reception at 6pm on the day their club is booked. Young people will then be shown to the club and meet the staff who will be looking after them. Reception is also the place where Parents/Careers can let staff know any specific needs or adoptions the young person will need to help them during their session. There will be a choice of different activities or if young people prefer they will be able to just relax with friends, there will also be opportunities to buy snacks from the clubs tuck shop. At the end of the evening parents/careers will need to pick the young person up at 8pm where we will be able to feed back how the evening has gone.
Each youth adventure is themed with young people able to choose from a variety of activities which are adapted to suit their needs. Young people will also be able to suggest activities and trips that they may like to take part in during future evenings.
Personal care is provided by our youth care workers who are experienced, professional and dedicated to ensure all young people feel comfortable and safe. Youth care workers will record what has happened throughout the session and communicate with you, the parents, if anything extra is required.
You will be required to sign your child in and out as well as ensuring that we have all the relevant contact details for the session. Care passports must be completed before a booking is accepted and these must be up to date when your child attends. There will always be a dedicated first aider on duty throughout the session.
Any medication must be handed over on registration with a completed and signed medication form. All medication must be provided in the original containers with clearly displayed labels which include: full name, address and dosage. Any medication which does not have the correct information cannot be administered. Medication will be administered by a trained member of the team.
